Description

A delicious and creamy Chicken Alfredo served in a warm bread bowl, topped with mozzarella cheese and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large round bread rolls or small bread loaves
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bread bowls – Start by cutting the tops off each bread roll. Gently hollow out the center, leaving about a one-inch thick wall so the bowl stays sturdy. Save the removed bread pieces for dipping later. Place the hollowed bread bowls on a baking sheet.
  2. Cook the pasta – Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce – In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer for a few minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the chicken and pasta – Stir the cooked chicken and drained pasta into the sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are fully coated with the creamy Alfredo.
  5. Fill the bread bowls – Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture into each prepared bread bowl. Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake – Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the bread edges turn golden and slightly crisp.
  7. Garnish and serve – Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately while everything is warm and bubbling.

Notes

  • The homemade creamy Alfredo sauce can also be used with other pasta dishes.
  • Feel free to substitute the bread rolls with different types of bread if preferred.
