Description
Delicious rosette cookies dipped in chocolate, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 8 oz dark chocolate wafers
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter and the powdered sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the vanilla and salt and beat to combine.
- Start adding in the flour a little at a time until all of the flour is incorporated.
- Add the milk and beat to combine.
- Fit a piping bag with a large star tip. Transfer the dough to the piping bag.
- Pipe the dough into rosette shapes onto parchment lined baking sheets. Keep about 2 inches between each cookie.
- Transfer the baking trays to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- Once the cookies are fully chilled, bake straight from the refrigerator for 12-13 minutes, or until the edges are browned.
- Let the cookies cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate wafers according to the package directions. Dip each cookie into the chocolate, letting any excess drip off.
- Return to the parchment to let the chocolate set up.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is softened but not melted for best results.
- If you’re having problems piping the dough, check the consistency; it should be thick enough to hold its shape.
