Description
A delicious cheesy beef noodle bake that is easy to prepare and perfect for dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/4 cups cottage cheese
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz egg noodles
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
- Add tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the beef. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream and cottage cheese until well combined.
- Add the cooked noodles to the sour cream mixture and stir to coat evenly.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, then half the meat sauce, and sprinkle with half the shredded cheddar. Repeat the layers.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.
