Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, sour cream, onion soup mix, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in uncooked rice until well coated.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
- Place chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture and press in slightly.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 55–60 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes to thicken and lightly brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be customized with different vegetables based on your preference.
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the soup mixture for a few hours before baking.
