Description

Delicious ground beef served over creamy mashed potatoes with a savory gravy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups prepared mashed potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain most of the fat, leaving a small amount for flavor.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir well to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring constantly. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  6. Serve the beef and gravy over mashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
