Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice baguette into ½-inch rounds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add sliced onions. Cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar and thyme; simmer for another minute.
- Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes until crisp.
- Spread cheese on each toasted slice and top generously with caramelized onion jam.
