Description

Delicious chocolate chip cookies with oats and M&Ms that are soft and chewy.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  6. Let cool slightly before enjoying warm.

Notes

  • For a chewier cookie, add an extra egg.
